9 May 08Desert? What desert? After a false start yesterday because of rain we braved the elements today. Four Sunseeders joined us, here are Graham and Simon. Graham, who's been at Sunseed for 5 weeks, is wondering why it's called a desert around here after the downpour we've had over the last few days. Yesterday we had 3" of rain in 24 hours - if only we had our water tanks set up on the land. Anyway, we did a spot of tyre pounding and rearranged the roof logs in size order. It was a late start today so all of a sudden it was lunch time. After lunch we did some more pounding and cutting out notches in the roof logs, then it started raining, and raining and then absolutely hissing down. After sitting in the van for a while we gave up and went home. So not much to show for today unfortunately, I'm beginning to wonder if this roof will ever get finished. Rabbits like onionsIt's official, rabbits (or hares) like onions. Well they like the green tops as we could see from the knawed tops of our onions, and they'd been doing so well. We may have to lift them now and call them shallots.
