We've decided to put all the beams for the greenhouse roof in place so we can grade them properly. We need the roof to slope slightly from East to West (as well as from front to back) so the rainwater drains off easily. They also need to be as flat as possible so the next stage of wood sits well without too many gaps and lumpy bits.

Here they are all in place - looks simple doesn't it but boy were they heavy!

They're tied in place at the moment as we still need to chisel the bottoms before we pin them down.

Colin, my brother, spent a few days with us this weekend so we just had to get him thumping tyres.
